Based on the number of likes I received on last week’s article and the Substack Note I posted about it, caregiving seemed to resonate with many of you.
My mother-in-law was in town this past weekend and shared her story of caring for her bedridden husband full-time for 6 months last year before he passed away. When the hospital suggested she bring him home and care for him there, we thought that was absolutely insane, as did she. She was 81 at the time.
