As a woman, the chances of you becoming a caregiver for a family member are pretty high. The responsibilities can vary greatly, ranging from managing medications and attending medical appointments to offering daily assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks.
The emotional weight of being a caregiver can be significant, as it requires not only a deep sense of compassion and patience but also the ability to navigate through a health care system from a perspective you may not have experience with.
from is a “hub of practical tools, resources, and insights.” Victoria has years of experience as a caregiver in her family for her father and mother, and shares it all on her Substack. In 2017, she stepped away from her corporate career to be more available, as women often do when help is needed. Victoria shares her insights in a detailed and heartfelt manner on her Substack, providing a window into the realities of caregiving while fostering a sense of community among others who may be facing similar situations.
Her mission is to raise awareness about the struggles of caregiving and provide a community to help caregivers feel supported. Not only does she provide support to her subscribers, but she’s also an active member of Substack, uplifting and helping other Substackers shine.
I normally feature articles, but today I’d like to showcase Victoria’s whole Substack. She’s been writing since October 2023; there’s a lot to feature here.
