We feature a new Women’s Health 365 Directory topic weekly. Today’s topic is Women’s Neurodivergence (education, conditions, awareness, experience).
Substack writers, check out the section below for how to submit your work. I’m looking forward to your amazing contributions to this week’s topic!
The remainder of this newsletter is divided into two sections: one for readers (aka all subscribers) and one for Substack writers. Read the section(s) that interest you.
As our talented and knowledgeable writers add their outstanding work to the Directory, you’ll be treated to special articles on women’s health in each newsletter.
So far, our Directory contains articles on mental health, autoimmune issues, and menstrual cycles. We’re lucky to have some incredible writers who genuinely invest their heart and soul into their work! I invite you to check out these wonderful articles.

I met Sam Galloway on Substack about a month or so after I launched my first Substack. We both write about perimenopause, so it was natural for us to connect. Being new on Substack can be lonely and a bit boring, if I’m honest. It’s like being the kid sitting by themselves at the lunch table. But Sam brightens up the place!
Sam offers a distinctive viewpoint on perimenopause, one that rarely gets discussed or researched. In her publication, The Autistic Perimenopause: A Temporary Regression, she approaches the menopause transition from the perspective of a neurodivergent woman with both autism and ADHD.
She shares her life with us and is a tremendous resource for trustworthy research and information. Sam is my “go-to” when I want to fact-check information, and she has provided several resources on my publication which I refer to often.
Although the exact occurrence is difficult to know, more and more midlife women are getting diagnosed with ADHD. It could be that underdiagnosis, compounded with the hormonal changes during perimenopause, is making it more evident and problematic than it appeared before. Undiagnosed and untreated ADHD can have difficult and life-changing consequences.
Today, I want to highlight two of her December articles. The first tells an incredible story about a situation that happened to her while trying to get her car washed. The second article shares what anti-goals are and suggests a better way to ring in the New Year.
