THE MENOPAUSAL FOODIE

https://themenopausalfoodie.substack.com/

Where midlife meets food freedom. Think hormone-friendly recipes, gut-loving nutrition tips, and the occasional rant about hidden sugars, fitness lies or sleepless nights. I’m a nutrition coach with multiple food intolerances who loves salted caramel brownies and passionately hates cardio. My substack isn’t about celery juice and restriction, it’s about feeling fabulous in your 40s, 50s and beyond… with your fork in hand.

CREATE ME FREE

https://createmefree.substack.com

My publication is about the complex relationship between art and health. In the past, I've said "mental health" or "psychology" but I've been digging deeper recently into what the term "health" or "wellness" even means.

Here are two key recent articles on that:

Is There Such a Thing as Intergenerational Health? https://createmefree.substack.com/p/is-there-such-a-thing-as-intergenerational

What Does Health Really Mean Anyway? https://createmefree.substack.com/p/exploring-what-does-health-really

I should add that my publication isn't specifically named as being for women and its open to all genders but the majority of the people interested in this publication, and my work in general, identify as women.

Go With The Flow: Women's Cycle Awareness

This publication is all about, you guessed it leaning in to your cycle and what each phase needs for overall health.

Women are not the same everyday. This is because they operate on an infradian rhythm, a 28ish day cycle of hormone fluctuations.

I write research articles on all things menstrual health so you don't have to. I also include personal essays of what I have learned over the past 5 years of practicing cycle awareness even in perimenopause.

I am excited to see more women working together to bring a well rounded view of women's health. Thank you Shelby for your amazing work putting this all together!

Here are a few for fitness and nutrition:

The Stress Response

https://open.substack.com/pub/thestressresponse

As a functional medicine practitioner, I created The Stress Response as an extension of my work to help busy, burned out women improve their hormonal health through restoring a healthy stress response so they can have the energy, focus and drive to live life on their terms.

IS YOUR STRESS CONNECTED TO CAFFEINE?-

A short case study of what caffeine can do to disrupt hormones and kill your drive along with a few helpful tips to improve stress hormone balance and be in control of caffeine instead of the other way around.

https://open.substack.com/pub/thestressresponse/p/is-your-stress-connected-to-caffeine?r=265k53&utm_medium=ios

WHY YOUR SCALE WEIGHT IS POINTLESS- a perspective adjustment about scale weight, how it skews women’s personal self worth and blinds women from 3 much more important metrics for healthy fat loss and personal appreciation.

https://open.substack.com/pub/thestressresponse/p/why-your-scale-weight-is-pointless?r=265k53&utm_medium=ios

YOUR MAGIC MIRROR GATE- a deeper, more thought provoking article about personal change and facing what we all fears about ourselves to achieve what we most want.
