Why 365?
365 is a powerful number in a womanโs life. It represents each day of the year and highlights our resilience as we move through the cycles of our lives.
It also represents the number of days a woman must remain period-free to reach menopause.
Finally, it embodies the journey of getting pregnant, nurturing life, delivering a baby, and the healing that follows in postpartum.
All can be completed in a year.
Whatโs a โShe-Shed?โ
A she-shed is a special place where a woman can go to be alone with her thoughts, spend time doing hobbies, and have a moment of peace. Itโs the opposite of a man cave. It can be an actual backyard shed, a place in your home, a spot in nature, or a place meaningful to you.
Welcome to this Substack corner for all things womenโs health and medicine! Weโll bring our knowledge and stories to life, sharing, supporting, and uplifting our workโฆ collectively.
This Substack focuses on writers who write exclusively about womenโs health conditions, diseases, issues, and the reproductive functions of our bodies.
Through topic-specific posts and taking advantage of the comments section, weโll build a directory of our Substacks to make it easy for readers to find what they are looking for.
When my Substack friend,
who writes Go With The Flow: Womenโs Cycle Awareness, called out Substack in a Note for not having a dedicated category for womenโs health, my first thought was, โhuh.โThen I thought, โWhat can I do to fill this glaring gap?โ
Welcome to the Womenโs Health 365 Collective, where Substackers who write exclusively about womenโs health topics can:
promote their work by building our healthcare topic Directory
read womenโs health articles
build trusting relationships for collaboration (Who wants to collaborate with a random person?? Collaborations need trust.)
support one another!
gain new subscribers (Iโll also be actively marketing this Substack on Notes and social media to attract those who love learning and reading about womenโs health.)
All readers welcome! This will be your one place for all things womenโs health on Substack.
I hope youโll consider joining me! There are a lot of exciting opportunities ahead.
What we do matters, yet we donโt currently get the attention or space that we deserve. Letโs change that together.
Next Steps? Subscribe, and if youโre a Substack writer Cโmon In and Get Involved! You can also check out what topics weโll cover as we build the Directory.
I love a good footnote! This includes anyone with an actual publication or who uses the new Longform Note feature to publish exclusively about womenโs health. If youโve got something related to womenโs health to promote on Substack, this is your place!
